President, President, Kelleigh Gustafson OTR/L, is the founder of Kelleigh’s Cause. She has become an advocate for AVMs and patients by educating medical staff and elected officials on this disease and the perspective of the patient. She has a Bachelor's from Le Moyne College in Psychology and graduated from Columbia University with a Master's in Occupational Therapy.
Chairman & CEO, Daniel Gustafson of Manlius, New York is the Executive Director of the Oneida Indian Nation Gaming Control Board. His experience with Not-For-Profit Charity Organizations includes serving as Treasurer of the Mid-Michigan Autism Society, a Board member of the Michigan Autism Society, and President and CEO of the Health Care Association of Michigan. Dan is the former Executive Director of the Michigan Gaming Control Board, Former Chairman of the Michigan Liquor Control Board, and served for 6 years as a member and a leader in the Michigan House of Representatives. He brings strong experience in public service and fundraising activities.
Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Lori Gustafson of Manlius, New York has 34 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in both Michigan and New York, and has managed multiple medical practices including urgent care facilities, physician offices, and hospital units. Her medical and managerial experience brings strong leadership to Kelleigh’s Cause. Lori graduated with her RN from the Henry Ford School of Nursing in Detroit, Michigan.
Board Member, Dr. Patricia Burrows is a retired world renowned Interventional Radiologist formerly of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Pediatric Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. Her MD, Internship and Residency were at the University of Manitoba with Fellowships at the Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Burrows has years of experience treating Vascular Anomalies and has practiced, taught, and lectured around the world.
Board Member, Dr. Stephen Guertin of Lansing, Michigan is Medical Director for the Sparrow Hospital Regional Children’s Center and served as Director of the Sparrow Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Chief of Staff for Sparrow Health Systems and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing, Michigan. A graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Guertin did his residency and fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Board Member, Dr. Amar C. Suryadevara is a native of Syracuse, NY. He grew up in Cicero, NY and went on to complete high school at Christian Brothers Academy. He then majored in Biomedical Engineering at Syracuse University and graduated with Honors. Dr. Surya went on to complete medical school and his residency training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He was recognized for his achievements by being named a national Barry M. Goldwater Scholar, a Syracuse University Remembrance Scholar, and an inductee into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
